Maglev Cubes: Are they worth it? Maglev Cubes are the newest innovation in the  cubing world, but cubes such as the GAN12 Maglev  have had some criticism. Here are my views on the matter, and compiling information so that you can make an informed decision. DISCLAMER: THIS IS OPINIONS, NOT FACTS. RESULTS MAY VARY FOR OTHERS. What is Maglev? Maglev, or Magnetic Levitation, is where two magnets have the same poles facing each other. They create a repulsion, which in a cube is used to replace a spring. The magnets are on a pole, so they can slide around, but don't go flying, and they can be adjusted using a sort of locking system, where they can't extend over a certain length. They are used in some cubes to eliminate friction on the spring, and remove spring noise! They are a great idea, and can be amazing if implemented correctly! The Start! Woah! You scrolled back to the start! This is my first post, hopefully of many! I wanted to create this blog to talk about my hobby of cubing. This is my first time doing something like this, so I might need a while to get into the swing of things.
